The first student whose name comes to mind when I hear the word Gratitude is Landon Brecheen. Landon is one of the most appreciative and grateful students I have had in all my years of teaching. Whether you hand him something big or small- the result is always the same. He has a genuine "Thank you!" and smile ready to give. I have noticed that this is not just something he does with his teachers but with his classmates as well, which makes their birthday cupcakes feel extra special. When so many children today expect to get things and do receive things so often that they often forget to show appreciation, this quality in Landon sticks out for all the right reasons.
